Help make Ralphie’s Christmas a great one!

The Christmas gift-giving season is just around the corner and muzzleloading enthusiasts commonly fall into that “hard to buy for“ category. Here at the NMLRA, we know your pain and hope to help you find the perfect gift for that special muzzleloader in your life.

No part of this guide has been paid for or sponsored, our goal is to bring you some quality gift options from the small businesses that continue to support the sport muzzleloading.

Much like black powder, black powder substitutes are a must-have for every modern muzzleloader. You’ll want to search for Pyrodex, Hodgdon Triple Seven, or Blackhorn 209 for a sure to please gift.

Much like toilet paper in March/April 2020, primers and caps for modern muzzleloaders have been super hard to find. While you are out and about this holiday season, keep your eye open for CCI large rifle primers, Federal 209 Primers, and no 10 percussion caps, they will bring a smile to your giftee on Christmas morning.
